About the Author:
Dr. Assad Nimer Busool was born in Reina, Nazareth, Palestine. He received his Bachelor and Masters degrees in Classic Arabic Literature and Islamic History and Civilization from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He received a Masters degree in Library Science, and Ph.D., in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, California. He has taught Arabic and Islam at University of California, Berkeley and San Diego State University, San Diego, California and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota and College of Lake County, Chicago and East-West University, Chicago and Lake Forest College, Chicago. He served as a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Arabic Studies at the American Islamic College, Chicago, Illinois 1982-2015. Dr. Busool has published books, articles and short stories in English, Arabic and Hebrew.
